Green lush boutique hotel in the Tejakula coastal line
Looking for a place for a weekend getaway? Bored with the busy vibes of Canggu or Ubud? Tejakula might be your choice. Settled in the east-a-bit-northern part of Bali, Tejakula feels like a time machine, taking you back to experience Bali in the 90s.
You can reach Tejakula within a 3–4 hour drive from Ubud, but don’t worry—it’s far from boring! Along the way, you’ll pass through the scenic Kintamani area, cruise along a jungle road shrouded in misty fog, and finally arrive at the serene coastal line.
We recommend you check out one of the hotels, The Kirana Tembok. This boutique hotel offers a calm and relaxed ambience with its expansive green garden and a pool overlooking the sea. We meet Pak Komang, the general manager of this hotel. He took me to walk around the hotel to see this beautiful property. They have a massive green grass area and pool right on the pebble beach. I love the beach here, the current is not strong, very relaxing to dip in and enjoy the vibes. I meet some friendly locals that doing the same thing as me haha.
Kirana rooms are thoughtfully divided into 4 categories: Superior Room, Deluxe Garden Bungalow, Suite Room, and Family Suite Room. I stay in one of their Suite room on the second floor, the room is spacious and feels warm, maybe because it’s finished with wood and marble decor. I recommend this room, especially if you get the second floor because they have a balcony overlooking their garden.
Another thing that catches my attention is their massage gazebo overlooking the sea. It’s simple, but really really ultimate relaxation. The location of the hotel is a bit remote, with not much warung or restaurant nearby, but don’t worry about the food, they have amazing food service in their Kayu Kayu restaurant. The staff were amazing and really helpful during our stay.
It’s not just about a stay—they also offer a variety of activities. You can experience the arak-making process, as they produce their own arak. Additionally, you can rent a traditional fishing boat for an authentic experience: catch fresh fish and grill it afterwards. If you are lucky, you will meet some dolphins crossing near your boat. This is a perfect quiet place where you can unwind, you’ll hear only the birds and the waves. I really recommend it
